the power of simple obedience

“Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’”

So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child’s, and he was healed!

2 kings 5:13-14 NLT

it is simple obedience, that will bear the most fruit. as we defy human reason and disconnect our minds to human logic; and step out over the edge in simple child like faith, GOD will take notice and take action. HIS WORD tells us to wait upon the LORD, and HE will renew my strength. JESUS said tarry and seek ME until I clothe you with power from on high. i believe GOD is inviting you to contend and wrestle with Him all night like jacob.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

in revelation 4 the condition for buying gold was realizing bareness, and realizing nakedness. if this revelation struck my core, i would soon see that i don't have it all together. i would realize that there is so much more. the reason why we keep on saying we need revival is because we need to be revived. how can i change my city if i am in a coma?

in today's age it seems a like a successful ministry plan includes: a cool hair cut, designer jeans, nice clothes. a room with ping pong tables, pool tables, x box's and snack bar. it seems like our tendency is to complicate simple obedience by having a nice cup. yet the inside of the cup is not as glamorous. now don't get me wrong, i like spiffy cups, but our generation is tired of drinking cob webs. what good will an empty cup do? now there is nothing inherently wrong with having a nice cup, but JESUS said that I wish you would do the latter without neglecting the former.

1st john says every believer has an inheritance, to walk as JESUS walked. JESUS even said that we will do greater things than HIM. This is because HE lives inside of us. when will we become become so possessed by JESUS inside of us that we explode with love, truth and power? if we abide in the vine, HIS new wine will fill our cups. after we realize we don't have it together, he puts a grace and a hunger in us to violently lay hold of the KINGDOM, it is at hand, it is within reach, and it is obtainable.

i know i will walk as JESUS walked, i will do what JESUS did. we have no lid, no cap, no restrictions, in every sense we are free from the matrix. we have been ransomed by CHRIST and we are seated in heavenly places, i am a son of the KING of kings, and that makes me a prince. we are royalty, its about time we start acting like it. i am convinced if people are not getting healed around me on a consistent basis i am not believing. if i am not believing, well i guess that would mean that i am not a believer. coming into terms with my bankruptcy was the healthiest thing i could ever do. we won't get better by misdiagnosing the problem.

simply doing what JESUS did, unlocks something from heaven. as we step out in faith, and say this does not make sense. i know i will fail with out YOU, but i will step out anyways because YOU told me to do so. Something miraculous happens, miracles.

bear fruit and multiply
